Late September/Early October, Post-Everything

Considering how awful everything's been recently, it seems well and due time for a social call.

It's been a few odd weeks since Jon's been able to truly take a moment to stop and really visit with Daisy, though he's made a point to linger for some odd minutes at a time to catch up when they run into each other. Tonight, however, he'll make good on a joke of a promise he'd made during one of the Oak & Iron's prior drinking-game-nights, and attempt to drink her under the table.

He knows full and well it's fruitless effort, but that's half the fun, isn't it? Maybe it'll give an edge of relief to things he's certain they'll have to talk about, before too long.

He's grabbed a table for them at the Oak & Iron, not far off from the bar, and as soon as he catches sight of Daisy stepping inside, he stands to flag her down over the bustling evening crowd. As soon as she's close enough, he sits back down, offering a smile.

With everything being as turbulent as it's been, something as simple as spending time with a friend feels almost too calm. He tries to shove aside the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

"I was wondering if maybe I'd waited too late to ask you to come out," Jon half-jokes. "Glad to see you, though, Daisy. How have things been?"
